Volunteering Opportunities
Over the years, there have been a number of volunteers who have visited Moparru orphanage. Some have done some teaching in the local school, others have helped with small project work and all have enjoyed spending time with the children.
When you volunteer here, we will arrange for your safe pickup from the airport (Vijayawada) back to the orphanage where you will have your own room. You can choose one of the options below or may decide to do more than one option during your stay.
All we ask is that you book your flights yourself, have the relevant vaccinations and travel insurance and we will support you with accommodation and food during your stay.
Option 1 - teaching volunteering opportunity
Within this option, you can teach english or another subject of your choice at the local school as arranged by Raju. You will be accompanied to the school each day and will receive lunch there, with breakfast and dinner being served at the orphanage.
Option 2 - project work volunteering opportunity
Within this option, you can get involved in project work at the orphanage. Depending on when you volunteer, you may like to get involved in painting or general house maintenance around the orphanage. There are always things to be done and when you arrange to volunteer with us, you will be contacted and we can discuss the things that you might like to get involved in.
